Eric Lugalia Charged with Defrauding WOW Director of Ksh.250M Karen Land

On July 10, 2020, Eric Agolla Lugalia was charged with making a false document in a case involving a Ksh.250M parcel of land in Karen.

According to the allegations, Lugalia and others jointly with intent to defraud former WOW director Stuart Gerald Culling Herd of a 1.9-hectare piece of land valued at approximately Ksh. 250million.

Lugalia is accused of making a false document–certificate of title–purporting it to be a genuine certificate of title issued by the Ministry of Lands, a fact he knew to be false.

He was also charged with a second count of forging title deed purporting it to be a genuine certificate issued by the Ministry of Lands.

He faces six other counts of forgery and three other counts of uttering a false document.

Lugalia pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Muthoni Nzibe and was released on a cash bail of Ksh. 150,000.

The case will be mentioned on July 30.
