Health CS Mutahi Kagwe has become the subject of ridicule on social media after his response to Pastor Robert Burale's COVID-19 diagnosis.
On Thursday, Kagwe expressed his ignorance about Burale, saying he had never heard of the pastor and questioned the source of the information.
"Me, I never heard of this guy. You are saying he has been paid by who? When it comes to issues like rumours, if I were to respond to every rumour I would be very busy, I honestly don’t know about this Robert guy. The guy is probably sick but you have decided that he is not," said Kagwe.
His comments sparked a wave of reactions on social media, with many Kenyans calling for him to join comedy after the pandemic is over.
Churchill, a popular comedian, was among those who reacted to Kagwe's comments, captioning a post "ati Robert nani?"
Other social media users praised Kagwe's facial expression, saying it was priceless.
"The face expression when saying I don’t know this guy is everything," wrote one user.
Another user joked that Kagwe would kill them one of these days with his comedy.
"Kangwe will kill us one of this days," the user wrote.
