On Sunday morning, a disturbing scene unfolded near Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Juja, Kenya. A man, later identified as James Maina, was found dead in his taxi, which had been parked outside a clinic.
According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle was seen speeding with lights on before being found parked outside the clinic. Locals became suspicious when they found the car with mist on its windows on Sunday morning.
Charles Chege, whose brother's car Maina used to operate as a taxi, described the scene as 'terrible.' He stated that picking a corpse in a body bag without ascertaining the cause of death 'is not good, and only adds pain and sadness to the bereaved.'
Mr. Chege added that Maina was known to him for long and had not been ill. He suggested that Maina may have been going home before curfew time and dropped by some joint for a drink, which may have led to his mysterious death.
Esther Wangari, Maina's wife, also expressed her shock and confusion over her husband's death. She stated that he had not been sick and had not even sneezed before his death.
As the investigation into Maina's death continues, many questions remain unanswered. The incident has sparked suspicion among locals, who are demanding answers about the circumstances surrounding Maina's death.
