Kenya has been grappling with a surge in COVID-19 cases, with 447 new cases reported on Thursday, the highest number in a single day. The country has so far recorded 8,975 positive cases of the coronavirus.
According to Nakuru Health CEC Gichuki Kariuki, 18 staffers of the St. Andrews Turi School in Molo have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. This is part of the 23 coronavirus cases that were reported in Nakuru between Wednesday and Thursday.
As the country continues to battle the pandemic, the government and health officials are urging citizens to adhere to the set health guidelines to prevent the spread of the virus.
