Published on July 10, 2020, Miguna Miguna, a vocal political activist, has made a startling claim about ODM leader Raila Odinga's whereabouts. According to Miguna, Raila is hiding in Dubai, pretending to have lost his sight.
Miguna's allegations come as Raila is recuperating in a Dubai hospital after undergoing a minor surgery about two weeks ago. In a video shared by his daughter Winnie Odinga, Raila expressed gratitude to his supporters for their messages of goodwill and prayers, crediting them for his speedy recovery.
However, Miguna is not convinced by Raila's claims of recuperation. In a tweet, Miguna alleged that Raila is afraid of facing the reality of an unfair deal from President Uhuru Kenyatta after the handshake. He also drew parallels with Raila's actions in 2017, when he went into hiding in the United States after the repeat presidential election on October 26, 2017.
“Conman Raila Odinga is just hiding in Dubai and pretending to have lost his sight and gone blind but the truth is that he fears facing the reality that despot Uhuru Kenyatta has shafted him. He did the same and hid in New York in November 2017,” Miguna claimed.
