On July 10, 2020, a devastating road accident occurred on the Machakos-Kitui road, resulting in the loss of five lives.
The accident involved a PSV matatu and a lorry at Kingaatuani area, with eyewitnesses reporting that the matatu rammed the lorry from behind.
Rescue efforts were underway at the scene, with the injured being rushed to nearby hospitals.
As the situation unfolded, a frightened Betty Kyallo was seen reacting to the arrival of an ambulance, saying, 'The ambulance just came from nowhere!'
