Kenyan Vlogger Discloses COVID-19 Diagnosis ¶
On July 9, 2020, Kenya recorded 447 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country's total to 8,975.
Photographer and YouTuber Tatiana Karanja, alias Mama Olive, has tested positive for COVID-19, sharing her experience on social media to raise awareness about the disease's reality.
According to Mama Olive, she initially thought she had the flu, but after testing positive, she realized the disease had taken a toll on her mentally.
She disclosed that her kids tested negative and had to stay with her mom and sister while she and her dad quarantined in his house.
"I was sick for two days and so I was certain it was just the little flu, thank God! It is taken a toll on me mentally and having to be away from my kids pushed me over the edge today," she said.
She urged her fans to stay safe, adding that coronavirus is real and still present in the world.
"Most importantly I want to encourage you all to stay safe and take COVID-19 very seriously, the world seems like it is going back to normal but Corona is very much still alive and now you know somebody who has it," she added.
