On July 10, 2020, a Kenyan healthcare worker faced charges in court for allegedly producing fake Covid-19 certificates.

Delvine Enock Moses, a nurse at Kenyatta National Hospital, was arraigned before Chief Magistrate Sinkiyian Tobiko at the Milimani Law Courts.

According to the charge sheet, Delvine and Samwel Shikanda Alukwe, a hotelier, created a false Covid-19 test report purporting it to be a genuine document issued by Kenyatta National Hospital.

The alleged offense occurred on July 5, 2020, at the hospital's infectious unit.

Delvine also faced 29 counts of forging Covid-19 results for over 20 patients, an offense allegedly committed at High Rise Estate in Ngumo, Nairobi County.

Delvine and Samwel pleaded not guilty to the charges and were released on Sh150,000 and Sh50,000 cash bail respectively.
