On July 10, 2020, the Kenyan government made a sudden U-turn on its earlier decision to allow international travelers to enter the country without mandatory Covid-19 quarantine.

According to the new directive, all travelers arriving in Kenya must declare their Covid-19 status and then proceed to a designated quarantine facility for a 14-day period before being allowed to head to their destination.

The Cabinet Secretary for Health, Dr. Mutahi Kagwe, emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring the safety of Kenyans by adhering to proper protocols.

Travelers are advised to take note of the new regulations and plan accordingly to avoid any inconvenience.
