Manchester United's resurgence in form has seen them close the points gap with Leicester City, and more importantly, reduce the Foxes' goal difference advantage to just six.

With 15 goals scored and only three losses since the restart, United's net goal difference now stands at +26. In contrast, Leicester City have scored six and conceded four, leaving them with a +32 goal difference.

Chelsea, currently third in the table, have a +17 goal difference, making the upcoming match between United and Leicester City crucial in the race for a top-four spot.

United's penalty success story continued as they were awarded their 13th penalty of the season, with Bruno Fernandes scoring from the spot. This total is the most penalties awarded to any team in a Premier League season, matching the records set by Leicester City in 2015/16 and Crystal Palace in 2004/05.
