Lionel Appiah Budu, a renowned Ghanaian fitness coach, has tragically passed away from COVID-19, just three days after tying the knot with his long-time girlfriend.
According to reports, the 38-year-old coach, popularly known as Kobby Lionels, fell ill shortly after his wedding and was rushed to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with the coronavirus.
Despite receiving medical attention, Budu's condition rapidly deteriorated, and he breathed his last on July 7, 2020, leaving behind his newly-married wife.
Budu was a well-respected personal trainer, known for his expertise in corporate fitness and aerobics. He had worked with numerous influential figures, including corporate gurus and expatriates.
His untimely death has sent shockwaves through the fitness community, with friends and loved ones taking to social media to pay tribute to the late coach.
