On July 9, 2020, Family Bank made a significant contribution to the fight against COVID-19 in Embu County by donating 65 hospital beds valued at Sh 3.47 million.
The donation, comprising 14 High Dependency Unit (HDU) beds and 51 isolation beds, was handed over by Family Bank CEO Rebecca Mbithi to Embu County Governor H.E. Martin Wambora.
According to Mbithi, the bank's commitment to supporting the county and its communities during difficult times is unwavering. 'As a Bank, we believe in standing with our country even during this difficult time. We are committed to ensuring that we build a sustainable business that is able to support the Counties and the communities that we work closely together,' she said.
Embu County Governor H.E. Martin Wambora expressed gratitude to Family Bank for their timely support, stating that the donation would complement the county's existing resources and prepare them for the ongoing pandemic.
