KNH Nurse Charged with Forgery of COVID-19 Results

On July 9, 2020, a Kenyatta National Hospital nurse and a hotelier were charged with uttering false COVID-19 test reports at the Nairobi Chief Magistrate's court.

Deleven Enock Moses, the nurse, and Samwel Shikanda Alukwe, the hotelier, were accused of committing the offence at KNH's infectious unit located at Mbagathi Hospital on July 5, 2020.

The nurse is facing 29 counts in three different files for allegedly forging COVID-19 results for over 20 patients, with the forgeries allegedly committed at the High Rise Estate in Ngumo, Nairobi County.

The two denied the charges and were released on varying bond terms, with the nurse granted a cash bail of Sh150,000 and a personal bond of Sh500,000, and the hotelier given a cash bail of Sh50,000.
