Manchester United's Mason Greenwood has come a long way since signing a four-year deal with the club in 2019. The 18-year-old forward has netted 15 goals in all competitions and is now an established member of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's progressive United squad.
However, it's been revealed that Juventus were considering signing Greenwood in 2019, and were reportedly ready to offer him a life-changing amount of money to leave Manchester United. According to The Athletic, the Italian giants were impressed by Greenwood's potential and were willing to make a significant offer to bring him to Turin.
Speaking on the Talk of the Devils podcast, Andy Mitten claims that Juventus were prepared to offer Greenwood a life-changing amount of money, but Manchester United were able to convince him that Old Trafford was the best place for him to develop. Greenwood has since repaid the faith shown in him by his coaches, and has become a key player for the team.
At the time of signing his deal with Manchester United, Greenwood said, "Having grown up as a Manchester United fan, playing for the first team is a real dream come true. I know that, when I play for this club, I represent the whole academy and I want to repay the faith that my coaches have shown in me with my performances on the pitch."
Greenwood's decision to stay at Manchester United has clearly paid off, and he is now one of the most exciting young players in the Premier League.
