On July 5, 2020, a shocking case of forgery came to light at Kenyatta National Hospital's infectious disease unit (IDU) in Mbagathi hospital. Two nurses, Samwel Shikanda Alukwe Omumi and Deleven Enock Moses, were accused of jointly conspiring to make forged COVID-19 patients test reports for several individuals.

According to the prosecution, Moses had a history of similar offenses, with three previous cases of making and uttering forged COVID-19 test reports. On July 6, 2020, he allegedly uttered a forged COVID-19 test report to Omumi, claiming it was a genuine report from Kenyatta National Hospital.

Both nurses denied the charges before Senior Resident Magistrate Sinkiyian Tobiko. Omumi was granted a cash bail of KES 50,000, while Moses was granted a cash bail of KES 100,000 for one file, KES 50,000 for another, and a personal bond of KES 500,000 for the third file.

The case will be mentioned on August 10, 2020.
