According to Tanasha, the incident occurred when a fan was filming her without permission, and she has now come out to say that it was not a party but a simple celebration of her birthday.
She expressed her frustration, stating,
“Some uninvited fools decided to show up thinking it's a party. I have never seen them in my life, pretend they want to take pictures with me. They were trying to film me and sent the videos to bloggers. Like where is this world going. The best part is that I know who took these photos acting all polite but she is there with her phone trying to be all paparazzi.”
Tanasha also revealed that she had traveled to Mombasa before the borders were opened, sparking speculation about her possible connections or essential service provider status.
