Heavy rainfall in the recent past has left Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company Limited (NCWSC) with a major repair task at Mwagu water intake in Chania River.

As a result, water supply to many households in Nairobi will be disrupted for two days, starting from Thursday, July 9th, 2020, at 6:00 am.

According to NCWSC, the shutdown of the Ngethu Water Treatment Plant will last until Friday, July 10th, 2020, at 6:00 pm.

The affected areas include the city centre, University of Nairobi main campus, Coca Cola factory, JKIA, EPZ-Athi River, and other estates along Mombasa Road, Industrial Area, and Juja Road.

Residents are urged to use water sparingly as every effort is being made to restore the supply as soon as possible.
