On July 8, media personality Betty Kyallo shared a harrowing experience on her YouTube channel, where she revealed that she almost got into an accident with an ambulance in Nairobi.
According to the video, Betty was driving around town with two passengers when she approached a junction. As the lights gave her the clear to enter the junction, an ambulance emerged from the opposite direction, nearly resulting in a collision.
Quick to react, Betty slammed on the brakes in time to avoid a collision, and her passengers were left shaken.
"My heart is beating, the ambulance just came from nowhere. It came from a corner and I could not see it," she exclaimed, still shaken by the incident.
Composing herself, Betty further stated that she had the right of way as the ambulance sirens faded into the background.
"That could have ended badly," one of her passengers remarked as they proceeded with their journey.
It's worth noting that this incident occurred just a few days after Betty unveiled an improved version of her beauty salon, Flair With Betty, on June 27, 2020, in an event graced by Ida Odinga among other high-profile personalities.
