Chelsea's Jorginho has been a subject of transfer rumors, with the Italian midfielder playing only 10 minutes of football since the Premier League resumed in mid-June (published July 9, 2020).
According to reports, Chelsea are keen to offload Jorginho to raise funds for the transfer of highly-rated Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz. A return to Serie A has been mooted for the Italian, with Juventus thought to be his likeliest destination.
However, Jorginho has downplayed speculation surrounding his future at Stamford Bridge, insisting he is focused on helping the club qualify for the Champions League.
Speaking after Chelsea's win over Crystal Palace on July 7, Lampard insisted that Jorginho is happy at the west London club. Jorginho himself revealed that he is staying focused to help the club qualify for the Champions League, saying, "I just have to stay focused on when the teams need me. There have been rumours but I haven’t heard anything."
"I am just focusing on finishing the season well with Chelsea and qualifying for the Champions League," Jorginho added.
