Published on July 8, 2020, Man City's 5-0 thrashing of Newcastle marked a resounding comeback for the Premier League champions.
Goals from Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez, David Silva, and Raheem Sterling, along with an own goal from Federico Fernandez, sealed the win for Pep Guardiola's side.
The Citizens dominated the first half, with Jesus scoring the opener in just the 10th minute after a beautiful team effort.
Kevin De Bruyne's cut-back found Mahrez, who slotted the ball home to make it 2-0.
Phil Foden had a chance to make it 3-0 but his effort went wide, and he had another gilt-edge chance in the second half but couldn't convert.
City's third goal came in the 58th minute when Fernandez's own goal made it 3-0.
David Silva then scored an exquisite free-kick six minutes after the hour mark to make it 4-0.
And Sterling sealed the win with a cool finish to make it 5-0, continuing City's magnificent scoring form in the Premier League.
