Published on July 8, 2020, a crisis that threatened to strain the working relationship between the Jubilee Party and ODM has finally been resolved.

The two parties had been at odds over the sharing of committee positions left vacant following the dewhipping of MPs allied to Deputy President William Ruto.

After a five-hour-long meeting between National Assembly Majority Leader Amos Kimunya and minority chief whip Junet Mohamed, a truce was reached on how the positions would be shared.

Junet Mohamed noted that he and Kimunya had mutually agreed on the list of committee members, which would be tabled when the House resumes next week.

"Held a meeting with Majority Leader Hon. Amos Kimunya over House Committees. We have mutually agreed on the list, to be tabled when the House resumes next week," said Junet via his Twitter handle.
