Former AFC Leopards captain Martin Imbalambala has been a source of inspiration for many after his courageous battle with partial eyesight loss in 2018.
Recently, his situation was highlighted in the media, revealing that he had stopped medical treatment due to financial constraints.
However, his luck changed when a team from the Vihiga County Government Sports Department visited him on Tuesday, promising to assist him financially.
As part of their efforts, the team presented Imbalambala with Sh 20,000 to cater for his medical and personal expenses.
Additionally, the Macleans Sloya Foundation, a non-governmental organization, visited Imbalambala and his family, donating foodstuff and taking him for treatment at the Sabatia Eye Clinic.
Imbalambala, a former Vihiga United player, had been facing medical challenges since losing his eyesight in 2018.
