As Zimbabwe's economic crisis deepens, thousands of people have taken to Twitter to express their discontent with President Emmerson Mnangagwa's government.
According to the private ZimLive website, opposition activists launched a 'peaceful resistance' campaign last week, urging people to unfollow the president on Twitter.
By 4 July, the president's Twitter followers had dropped from 565,000 to 546,000, a decline of around 20,000.
President Mnangagwa's spokesman, George Charamba, dismissed the move, saying the president was not concerned by 'fake people' unfollowing him.
The move comes as opposition and civil society groups prepare for nationwide protests on 31 July, demanding that President Mnangagwa step down. Security forces have previously cracked down on protests.
