On July 8, 2020, the APA Apollo Foundation announced a significant increase in its contribution towards supporting vulnerable people in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, raising its total support to Sh10 million.

The foundation has been actively involved in various initiatives to mitigate the effects of the pandemic, including the donation of essential care packages to residents in need.

APA Insurance Chief Executive Vinod Bharatan stated that the donation will assist children who attend the Family and Civil Division at the Milimani Law courts, as well as other vulnerable individuals.

"The APA Apollo Foundation has committed to support several initiatives, the main one being the Care Package, which was established in March 2020 to support and protect vulnerable people and ensure food security in Kenya due to the Covid-19 pandemic," Bharatan said.

Notably, the foundation's initial donation to support several initiatives, including the COVID-19 Fund, was at Sh3 million.
