ODM and Jubilee have put aside their differences following a meeting between Suna East MP Junet Mohammed and Jubilee Majority Leader Amos Kimunya on July 7, 2020.
The two parties had been at odds over the composition of members in two house committees, which will play a critical role in the implementation of the BBI report.
ODM had expressed concerns over Jubilee's selection of members in the Justice and Legal Committee (JLAC), accusing them of filling slots with Tanga Tanga members and threatening the success of the BBI report.
However, after the meeting between Junet and Amos Kimunya, the two parties have agreed on a mutual list of members for the committees, which will be tabled in the house when it resumes business next week.
ODM Chair John Mbadi had earlier stated that the two committees are crucial for the BBI process and that members should support the BBI and reform agenda.
On the other hand, Jubilee Vice Chair David Murathe had warned ODM to stop meddling in Jubilee affairs, stating that they only did a favour to ODM by awarding them roles in different committees.
