Renault has secured a major coup in the world of Formula One, with two-time world champion Fernando Alonso set to return to the team next year.
According to sources, Alonso has already signed with Renault, and an official announcement is expected soon.
Alonso's return to Renault marks a reunion with the team that won him his world championships in 2005 and 2006.
Renault is looking to replace Australian driver Daniel Ricciardo, who will be joining McLaren at the end of the current season.
Alonso's return to Formula One comes after a four-year stint with McLaren, which ended in 2018.
He is currently set to make a third attempt to win the Indianapolis 500 with McLaren in August.
