On July 6, 2020, President Uhuru Kenyatta lifted a four-month cessation order, allowing Kenyans to travel freely across the country. However, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has cautioned that this does not mean the COVID-19 threat has passed.
During a press briefing in Nairobi, Kagwe emphasized the importance of continued vigilance in preventing the spread of the virus. 'You are your brothers' keeper. Do not lose guard,' he urged.
With the easing of restrictions, Kagwe reminded Kenyans to adhere to basic health measures, including frequent handwashing, wearing masks, and maintaining social distance. 'Covid-19 has no cure,' he stressed.
