On July 3, an autopsy report from the Chiromo mortuary revealed that comedian Kasee was poisoned, contradicting earlier reports that linked his death to alcoholism and depression.

According to Kenya Comedians Society chairman Ken Waudo, Kasee received a call from friends on June 28 to join them for drinks at a local joint, but he never returned home.

Waudo explained that Kasee had promised to call his dad immediately he got home but never did, and that the kids who found him dead reported that he had complained of stomach problems and decided to take a nap before going home.

Waudo also revealed that the examiner said Kasee's brain was clear and that his liver was not that bad, suggesting that he was probably poisoned.

Investigations are ongoing, and Kasee is survived by two children and a wife.
