July 7, 2020, marked a significant day for Richard Quest, a CNN International anchor, as he shared his experience of recovering from COVID-19. However, his recovery came with an unexpected side effect - he's become more clumsy.
Quest, who is also CNN's business editor at large, had tested positive for COVID-19 in mid-April 2020. He described the virus as a 'tornado' that left a trail of damage in its wake. Despite being discharged, Quest fears he might have caught the virus again.
After testing negative for the virus but positive for antibodies, Quest discovered new areas of damage caused by the virus. He noted that he had become incredibly clumsy, often tripping over furniture and dropping objects. Quest attributed this clumsiness to a malfunctioning part of his brain that adjusts hand and movement to obstacles.
Quest also experienced mild confusion, hesitation with words, and a peculiar digestive system. He likened his body to a 'tornado' that doesn't feel quite right. Despite his struggles, Quest urged people to avoid the virus, likening it to a destructive force that leaves a trail of damage behind.
