On July 5, 2020, a shocking incident unfolded in Dago area of Nyalenda in Kisumu East Sub-county, where a female police officer, Constable Maureen Awuor, shot her husband twice in their home.

According to reports, the couple had been together for three years and were involved in a heated argument after the husband, Victor Odhiambo, gave their househelp Ksh.50 for lunch without consulting his wife.

Constable Awuor, who is stationed at Kasagam Police Station, allegedly came home with an Ak47 rifle and shot her 28-year-old husband twice, once on the right side of the head and once on the ear.
