Published on July 7, 2020, Kenya's COVID-19 cases have increased to 8,250, with the country's health trends showing an upward trajectory.
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe announced the new infections, which were detected from 2,061 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
Appealing to Kenyans to take individual responsibility to flatten the curve, CS Kagwe emphasized the importance of adhering to laid-down protocols, including wearing masks and sanitizing hands.
"We have now entered a new phase in the war against Coronavirus pandemic in the country. As we visit our parents at home with supplies, let us also include masks and sanitizers and soap for handwashing, and ensure we adhere to the laid down protocols," CS Mutahi Kagwe said.
