On July 7, 2020, Baringo Senator Gideon Moi continued to strengthen his ties with African leaders, as he represented Kenya at the inauguration of President Chakwera in Malawi.
During his address, Senator Moi extended a message of goodwill to the newly elected President, urging him to bring the people of Malawi together, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Senator Moi's words of wisdom were: "May you stand together, with charity for all, with firmness in the right as God gives to you to see the right. May you strive on to finish the work you are in, to bind up the nation’s wounds, to care for the widows, the orphans, the elderly, and all needy persons in your country,"
Meanwhile, Deputy President William Ruto has retreated to his Sugoi home, a move that may be seen as an attempt to solidify his support in the Rift Valley region.
It is worth noting that Deputy President Ruto has faced significant challenges in recent months, with President Uhuru Kenyatta's administration seemingly working against him.
