Federation of Uganda Football Associations (Fufa) president Moses Magogo has come under fire for launching a personal attack on a journalist who penned a critical article about the country's football body.

Magogo, who is also an Executive Committee member of the Confederation of African Football (Caf), targeted New Vision newspaper journalist James Bakama on the football body's social media platform.

Magogo was responding to a critical opinion piece penned by Bakama in the government-owned newspaper, which highlighted how the country's football body has been misusing funds from the sport's world governing body Fifa.

Magogo's attack on Bakama was met with heavy criticism, with many questioning the football boss's behavior. The incident has sparked a debate about the relationship between sports administrators and the media.

Magogo's outburst comes just months after he was banned by Fifa for two months for reselling World Cup tickets to unauthorized persons.
