On Monday, a Kakamega preacher narrowly escaped death after being caught in the act with a female congregant by her husband.
The husband, who had returned home earlier than usual, caught the pastor in intimate relations with his wife on their matrimonial bed.
According to reports, the pastor, who preaches at Solid Rock for Jesus Christ, had to run for his life on foot, leaving behind some of his clothes and a motorcycle.
The area Chief Alex Mutende rebuked the preacher and his lover, stating that police had launched investigations into the incident.
Chief Mutende confiscated the pastor's clothes and motorcycle, and the local community joined him in condemning the duo's actions.
The local elders asked the preacher to seek forgiveness from the aggrieved husband and provide compensation through the chief.
The husband, however, refused to forgive his wife, citing that he was not ready to do so, despite the couple having three children together.
