On Tuesday morning, a devastating accident occurred on the Nairobi-Mombasa highway near Maanzoni Lodge, claiming the lives of three people.
According to Machakos County Government Emergency Services Director David Mwongela, the accident happened when two trucks collided at an intersection, knocking a Probox off the road.
The three deceased were drivers of the two trucks and one turn boy.
County emergency services officials are working to rescue the driver of the Probox car, who was still trapped in the wreckage at the time of the report.
