On July 7, 2020, the government lifted a ban on movement in and out of Nairobi, Mombasa, and Mandera counties, paving the way for low-cost carrier Jambojet to resume flights to five local destinations on July 15, 2020.
As a subsidiary of Kenya Airways, Jambojet will operate three daily flights to Mombasa, two to Kisumu, two to Eldoret, one to Malindi, and four weekly flights to Diani.
However, the airline will have to navigate the challenges posed by the ongoing dusk-to-dawn curfew, which may impact its night operations.
Meanwhile, Kenya Railways has asked passengers to be patient as it prepares a new operational schedule for the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR).
