On Monday, July 6, 2020, comedian and radio personality Jalang'o failed to show up for the Morning Kiss show at Kiss FM, sparking online uproar.

His replacement, Andrew Kibe, had left the show, and Jalang'o had promised to take over, assuring fans that he would be back on air alongside Kamene Goro.

However, Jalang'o's absence left fans disappointed, and they took to Twitter to express their frustration, building the hashtag #KameneandJalas, which boasted over 11,000 followers.

According to Kamene Goro, Jalang'o's absence was due to a grand welcome planned for him at the radio station, similar to the welcome Betty Kyallo received at K24 TV in September 2018.

When asked about Jalang'o's absence, Kamene Goro explained that they were planning a red carpet welcome for him, saying, 'We are planning a red carpet. But we can also knit him a new green suit to introduce him to the show properly.'

She also hinted at building chemistry with Jalang'o, saying, 'Chemistry is all about friendship and bond. He is a very good friend of mine… and you will be shocked what we can accomplish together.'
