Renowned author and pastor Robert Burale has confirmed that he has contracted COVID-19. The news was shared through a Facebook post where Burale revealed that he was admitted to a Nairobi hospital after experiencing symptoms.
According to Burale, he was found to be positive for the virus 24 hours after undergoing tests. He expressed his concerns about his daughter's health, as they live together.
"I was found to be positive for corona, 24 hours after undergoing tests, the doctor came into my room, I didn't enjoy the outcome, but I believe God is with me," Burale said.
Burale also confirmed that COVID-19 is a serious illness that can cause severe symptoms, including death. He shared his personal experience of being admitted to a COVID-19 isolation ward, where he was cared for by medical staff.
"I was shocked, I was admitted to a COVID-19 isolation ward, I saw all these things on the movies, I was welcomed by a doctor who tried to calm me down, I was shocked to say the truth but I'm giving thanks now," Burale added.
