Published on July 6, 2020, the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) has confirmed that two of its staff members have tested positive for COVID-19.
According to a memo released by Managing Director Dr. Naim Bilal, the affected staff members had been following the necessary protocols, but the situation still calls for enhanced personal responsibility to prevent further infection.
Dr. Bilal emphasized the importance of adhering to government and corporate regulations on COVID-19, including wearing masks regularly, washing or sanitizing hands, and observing social distancing.
He also advised those who may feel unwell to seek medical attention and those who may have come into contact with the affected staff to test for the coronavirus and self-isolate.
Despite the measures in place, the KBC has taken proactive steps to prevent the spread of the virus, including setting up 40 hand-washing and 25 sanitization points.
