With only five matches left in the 2019/20 season, Arsenal is intensifying its efforts to qualify for the Champions League, a feat the team has not achieved in three years.

Currently sitting seventh in the league standings with 49 points, Arsenal is eight points off the top four, a daunting task that requires a series of victories to secure a spot in the elite competition.

Despite a slow start following the coronavirus pandemic, the team has shown improvement, winning three consecutive matches, including a crucial 2-0 win over Wolves.

Qualification for the Champions League could come down to the fifth-placed team, as Manchester City faces the possibility of missing out on the tournament next season if their UEFA ban is upheld.

Manager Mikel Arteta has emphasized the importance of winning every game and waiting for the outcome, as quoted by Mirror UK: "We have to win every game and then wait and pray."

Arteta has also expressed his confidence in the team's ability to qualify for the Champions League, citing their progress from being far from qualifying just a few weeks ago to being closer to their goal.
