On July 6, 2020, Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy made history by joining the Premier League's '100 club' after scoring his 100th goal in the competition.
At 33 years old, Vardy is one of the oldest players to achieve this milestone, with only Ian Wright making his debut in the Premier League at an older age.
Despite being offered the chance to join Arsenal in 2016, Vardy chose to stay with Leicester, a decision that has now cemented his legacy at the King Power Stadium.
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers praised Vardy's loyalty, saying: 'I think as things stand he's a legend here now for the rest of his time at the club — it's just what he adds to that status over the rest of his career.'
With 206 games under his belt, Vardy became the first £1 million signing from a non-league club when he joined Leicester from Fleetwood Town in 2012.
