On July 6, 2020, the Kenyan government announced the extension of the nationwide curfew by another 30 days, effective immediately.
As a result, the cities of Nairobi and Mombasa have been re-opened, allowing residents and visitors to move freely within the cities.
The decision to extend the curfew was made in an effort to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
It is worth noting that the government has taken various measures to mitigate the impact of the pandemic, including the re-opening of the economy and the provision of essential services.
