President Uhuru Kenyatta has lifted the cessation of movement order that had barred entry into and out of Nairobi, Mombasa, and Mandera Counties. The order will lapse on Tuesday at 4 am.

However, the nationwide curfew has been extended by a further 30 days. This means that Kenyans will have to continue adhering to the 10 pm to 4 am curfew.

Places of worship will also commence phased reopening, but with strict adherence to guidelines. Specifically, congregants under 13 or over 58 years should not be allowed, and those with underlying health conditions have been cautioned against congregating to worship.
