Published on July 6, 2020, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has identified Manchester City and Bayern Munich as the two teams most likely to win the Champions League title.

Despite Liverpool's Champions League title win last season, the Reds were eliminated from the competition by Atletico Madrid in the last 16.

However, the Reds have already secured the Premier League title for the 2019/20 season, providing some consolation for their Champions League exit.

Manchester City, under the guidance of Pep Guardiola, are aiming to win the Champions League for the first time in their history and are well on course to qualify for the quarterfinals.

City defeated Real Madrid 2-1 in the first leg of their Champions League knockout game, and another tie is expected before the quarterfinals are determined.

Bayern Munich, on the other hand, have already secured a spot in the quarterfinals after beating Chelsea 3-0 in the first tie, making it difficult for the Blues to overturn the three-goal deficit.

With Barcelona and Juventus still in the competition, Klopp believes that Bayern Munich and Manchester City are the two teams with a real chance to lift the European title.

"I think for me the two big favorites left in the competition are Bayern and Man City," Klopp said.

"That would be an interesting game. Bayern played an impressive season in Germany after Hansi Flick took over, and it was really impressive what they did. These two are the favorites," he added.
