Trying on clothes can be a daunting task, especially when it comes to jeans. The struggle is real, as most of us have experienced the frustration of finding the perfect pair only to discover they don't fit quite right.
However, one woman claims to have cracked the code on how to determine whether a pair of jeans will fit without having to try them on. Billie Newland, a savvy shopper, has shared her foolproof hack on social media, which has garnered nearly 270,000 likes and hundreds of comments.
According to Billie, the trick is to hold the jeans up to your forearm. If there's a large gap between your elbow, hand, and the end of the jeans, they're too big. On the other hand, if your forearm doesn't fit inside the waistband, they're too small. But if you find a pair where your elbow and arm fit snugly, that's your perfect pair.
Billie also suggests using the same technique to determine the length of the jeans. Simply stretch them across your wingspan, and if they go past your fingertips, they're too long. If you have to bend your elbow, they're too short.
While Billie's hack has been met with enthusiasm from many, not everyone is convinced. Some have raised concerns about body proportions, weight fluctuations, and the limitations of the method. Nevertheless, the idea has sparked a lively discussion and has given many people a new way to approach shopping for jeans.
