On July 6, 2020, a sense of unease settled over Kisii County after a brutal assault on a hawker left residents in shock.
The incident occurred at Marani, where a thug smashed a sanitizer bottle on the chest of a hawker, leaving him seriously injured.
According to Chief Evans Onchiri, the hawker was distributing sanitizers when the thug attacked him, causing severe chest injuries.
As of the time of reporting, the identity of the assailant remained unknown, with the police still searching for the suspect.
