Published on July 5, 2020, Alvan Gatitu, a former Tusker Project Fame participant, has been left homeless after being locked out by his landlord due to unpaid rent.
Alvan, who is also known as Alvan Love, shared his story in a candid video on his social media platform.
He explained that he had not paid his rent for a couple of months and when he returned home from a long day, he found his gate and house locked.
'I tried calling my landlord and the manager but they did not pick my calls, so I had to leave,' Alvan said.
He also revealed that he reached out to his friends, but none of them were able to help him.
'I called two of my closest friends and they couldn't host me apparently they have their own problems,' Alvan said.
He added that he had thought another friend could help, but when he reached their gate, they told the guards not to open the gate for him.
Alvan eventually slept in a guards' booth and later reached out to his church, but they were only able to give him some cash to rent out a motel.
'I called my church but they gave me only 2K, The boda guy I hired to drop me at my friends place charged me 1K so I only have a thousand bob left,' Alvan said.
He encouraged his fans to help him where they can and shared his contact information.
