Sarova Stanley's Thorn Tree restaurant in Nairobi has been temporarily closed after two employees tested positive for Covid-19.

According to a statement from the hotel, the two employees are in a stable condition and are currently in isolation as per the Ministry of Health guidelines.

On Saturday, the hotel took the precautionary measure of closing the restaurant to allow teams to implement health, safety, and compliance protocols, including fumigation and disinfection of the entire hotel.

The hotel has assured its stakeholders that it continues to adhere to the Ministry of Health protocols and guidelines.

It's worth noting that the restaurant had only recently reopened to the public for indoor dining after being shut down due to the Covid-19 outbreak in the country three months ago.

At the time of reopening, the restaurant was operating between 7am-7.30pm daily for dine-in and also offered take away and delivery services.
