July 5, 2020, marked a significant day for Kim Kardashian's net worth, as Coty Inc. acquired a 20% stake in her KKW beauty franchise for $200 million.

According to Forbes, this deal pushed Kim's net worth to approximately $900 million, just shy of the billion-dollar mark.

However, Forbes magazine has denied claims by Kanye West that his wife has officially become a billionaire.

Kim's husband, Kanye, had bragged about her newly-acquired billionaire status on social media, saying, 'I am so proud of my beautiful wife Kim Kardashian West for officially becoming a billionaire. You've weathered the craziest storms and now God is shining on you and our family. So blessed this is still life.'

While Kim is not a billionaire yet, she has surpassed her younger sister Kylie Jenner, who was previously hailed as a self-made billionaire in 2019 and 2020 before being stripped of the title in May this year.
