Published on July 5, 2020, a question about bathroom etiquette has sparked a furious debate.

A couple's casual conversation turned into a heated argument when the fiancée revealed she had peed in their friends' shower after staying with them earlier in the year.

The person who shared the story wrote, "We had previously joked about my 'inability' to do so (I just can't bring myself to do it, although I understand the convenience), but I didn't expect she'd do it in someone else's house," as reported by Kidspot.

They felt "rude," especially if their friends didn't do it themselves, and couldn't imagine doing so without asking first.

Seeking advice, they posed the question to Slate's advice column Ask Prudence, and the results are in.

Danny M Lavery, the writer, ruled that it's probably best not to pee in someone else's shower rather than to do so - unless you have that relaxed sort of friendship with them where you're comfortable to ask.

However, people in the comments couldn't quite come to a unanimous decision, with some agreeing with Danny and others finding the idea baffling.
